Thailand has remained effective in preventing the virus’ spread thanks to its preparedness and agility. We are pleased to share that Thailand has been ranked fourth out of 98 countries worldwide for its response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of a poll conducted by prominent Australian-based academic think tank, Lowy Institute. Additionally, the capital city of Bangkok has been named the 13th healthiest city in the world according to a recent ‘Healthy Lifestyles Cities Report’ by UK health authorities.
In his closing remarks to The World Health Assembly in November 2020, World Health Organization Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, praised Thailand for its amazing success in managing the Coronavirus pandemic.
In an inter-connected world in which transmission of the virus is easily passed from one to another, Thailand has emerged as a success story.
