Inspiration Behind the New Thailand Logo
Bright colors are popular in Thailand, especially pink and yellow, so that’s why we picked those colors to make the logo shine! Pink, the color of lotus and common in Thai silks, represents friendship, fun and vibrancy. Yellow, a bright inviting color reminiscent of sparkling gold, represents happiness and prosperity.
Thailand is often referred to as “The Land of Smiles” because of the friendly, happy-go-lucky and cheerful nature of its people. You can smile at any Thai you pass by while walking on the street and that person will most likely smile back at you! Can you find the smile in the logo? The A’s represent the eyes and the arc below is the smile. 🙂
The mouth of the smile in the logo is actually a simplified Thai kanok design. The Thai kanok is a design element used in Thai art, fashion, temples and more. The kanok pattern is reminiscent of interlaced leaves and branches, with a flame-like outline.
