Show your Pride in Thailand this Month!
As you might know already, June is Pride month, and we’ve been running a contest for a little while that is totally befitting of celebration. Want to find out how a little hashtag and a social media post can add a little adventure to your life next year? Keep reading!
In honor of Pride month, and just because we want to give you a little somethin’ somethin’, we’re giving one person a chance to win their own free trip to Thailand in April 2019!
The trip will have you vacationing in during one of the best and busiest times of the times of the year, Songkran! Running alongside the annual festivities of the water festival, we’ll also give you two tickets to gCircuit, which just so happens to be one of the world’s biggest gay circuit parties. Check out their Instagram below!
The stay includes an expenses-paid stay for 4 days/5 nights in a Grand Deluxe room at Siam@Siam BKK, which has some of the most fabulous designs we’ve ever seen in a hotel!
No matter where or who you are, everyone just wants to be themselves and have a good time, without fear of judgment. It’s especially true when we’re vacationing and letting go of our responsibilities for a little while. If you’re already here reading this, you’ll probably already know that one of the best places for the LGBT community to do just that Thailand. The warm vibes of the country have accommodated and welcomed the people of all walks and ways for years, and the number of things to do and places to go for the LGBT only grows, year after year. Across the world, Thailand has become well known for having some the best gay resorts, bars, and parties, which you can find out more about by visiting here.
Anyway, here’s what you’ve been waiting for. Make your page public, and then tag & follow @ThailandInsider on Instagram. Use the hashtag #GoThaiBeFree in your caption space, along with a picture of your choosing in order to enter. Creative posts get a bonus entry if you tell us exactly how you like and love to express #Pride.
If you’re only on Facebook or Twitter, no worries! Follow and Tweet us at @ThaiGayTravel on Twitter, or @ThailandGayTravel on Facebook with your photo and short caption. Just make sure your profile post is set to public so we can count your entry!
If you’re prepared to win, you should also be prepared to explore, and while we love talking about giving you free stuff, we like showing you around even more.
Since the three days of gCircuit party take place in Bangkok, you might want to stay in the area. But if you’re itching to get away from the party scene for a bit while you visit, we’ve also got a cool beachside vibe for you. Normally, Bangkok isn’t the go-to spot to for tons of beaches, but we’ve still got some options in place that you can scoot on over too with a couple of friends, or with your partner if you’re looking for a sunny shore baecation. Take a trip to the sandy beaches of Hua Hin, an island about three to four hours out from Bangkok. While the location is home to some of the lightest, sandiest beaches and water ever, there’s also a generous amount of clubs and bars to wander through if you’re looking for things to do closer to sunset. Just don’t forget to get back to Bangkok so you can enjoy that luxurious hotel of yours!
Now that we’ve gotten the beach out of the way, let’s return to the city. Whether it’s clubbing or soothing your body and mind, there are tons of places specifically tailored for LGBT travelers to meet up, and meet with new people. Although our prize winner will receive a stay at the fanciful (and fancy full!) Siam@Siam Hotel in Bangkok, there are other hangout spots within reach where you might want to chill and settle in with some guys. Bangkok is home to some of the most magnetic gay hubs ever, and just like most LGBT-friendly cities, there’s always one guaranteed spot to find everything or anyone you might take a liking to. One of these hotspots can be found by wandering down the streets of Silom.
Silom 4 finds itself home to a more relaxed feel of streetside bars perfect for people-watching and meeting new people, but Silom 2 and Silom Twilight is where the party continues. Take some time out of your frantic party schedule to experience DJ Station at least once, or head over to Twilight for some boy shows. Finally, once you’ve got your fill of pounding bass, take the next day off and stop in at the sauna room at the Babylon Hotel Bangkok, which you can visit and access specifically if you want to spend time meeting local guys or tourists with like-minded vacation goals.
Time is running out to enter, so if you’re ready to go, get online and get posting!
