The skies of Hua Hin will be filled with color when the Thailand International Kite Festival takes place from March 23 to March 25, 2018! Professional kite flyers from around the world flock to the famous festival to show off their unique talents of synchronized kite-flying and kite creations. Outfitted as superheroes, cartoon characters, animals, mythical creatures, geometric shapes – the possibilities of what you might see are endless!
Held at the Army Non-Commissioned Officer School, the Thailand International Kite Festival offers a long list of activities to view and participate in:
- Kite performances with stunts and music
- Chula and Pak Pao show (kite exhibition that tells the story of Thai kites)
- Wind Garden
- Ringside Kite Tour
Children can even learn how to make their own kites at the Kite Kid Paint booth; families can fly their kites together at the Family Fun Kite area; visitors can buy kites at the vibrant kite stalls; or you make your own boomerang and learn how to throw it at the Boomerang Workshop. Don’t forget to refuel at the local food trucks offering signature menus of Hua Hin cuisine.
