After spending a few episodes in Chiang Mai, we head down to Southern Thailand. In today’s episode we arrive in Samui, a premier island destination, where you will be enriched with the view of their beautiful beaches by the Gulf of Thailand.
There are some great things to try out while in Samui such as island hopping to the different islands on the Gulf of Thailand in Southern Thailand. You can also check out the Ang Thong National Marine Park, which is a kayaking and snorkeling paradise and is a day trip from Samui. Back on land, Koh Samui has abundance of things to do and places explore, from Wat Phra Yai (The Big Buddha Temple), to a fresh market nearby called Talad Wat Phra Yai, fisherman village. Seafood dish in Koh Samui is second to none! A nightlife scene in Chawaeng is also something you can’t miss!
After exploring the local scene, I meet with the Chef Yupin Yuttham from Six Senses Samui. She shows us how to combine water chestnut and coconut ice cream to make the ultimate island treat, tub-tim krob. It’s perfect to enjoy while overlooking the serene beaches in the Gulf of Thailand. This treat is sweet and refreshing and I had fun making it (I’m learning from the best).
I don’t want to reveal too much, but you can see the video for yourself below. To download the recipe, click here: Tub-Tim Krob recipe.
